Construction starts on IJsselmeerdijk reinforcement

Van Oord says the IJsselmeerdijk Consortium has begun construction, starting with a foreshore.

Van Oord reported that construction on the IJsselmeerdijk reinforcement project in the Netherlands was launched on Wednesday 2 September 2026.

Following months of preparation, studies and final planning, the IJsselmeerdijk Consortium, comprising Van Oord and Boskalis, is beginning the work with construction of a foreshore.
